Mid 19th Century Ship’s Figure Head
Mid 19th century ship’s figurehead. Classic pose in stepping position of a young women with a period gown and brooch . She holds a rose in her right hand, the shawl in her left hand drapes over the lacing board to her right arm. The original mounting “drift” pin is intact and protrudes at the back of the lacing board. Striking resemblance to Queen Victoria and most likely a carving of the reigning mid-19th century Queen of England.

Condition is very good with early vintage in-use painted surface.
